Terms

Last updated 15 September 2026

These are the terms of your subscription to Chapter. Subscribing means agreeing to them, so they are written plainly rather than defensively.

Who you are dealing with

Chapter Novels is a publisher of serialised fiction based in the United Kingdom. You can reach us at chapternovels@gmail.com. Our registered details and postal address are available on request.

Payments are taken by Stripe, which acts as the seller of record for your subscription.

What you get

The opening chapters of every book are free to read without paying. A subscription unlocks every remaining chapter of every book in the library, and any books added while your subscription is active.

We intend to keep adding books, but we do not promise a particular number in any month. What you are paying for is access to the library as it stands.

Price and renewal

The subscription costs £4.99 a month, including any VAT. It renews automatically on the same date each month, using the card you provided, until you cancel.

If we ever change the price, we will tell you before it takes effect, and you can cancel rather than accept it.

Cancelling

You can cancel at any time from the account page, with no notice period and no cancellation fee. Cancelling stops the next payment.

You keep access until the end of the month you have already paid for. Nothing is cut off early.

Refunds

Subscription payments are not refundable once your subscription has begun. A subscription unlocks the entire library immediately, and there is no way to un-read a book. Refunding after that access has been given would be the same as giving the books away.

Ordinarily you would have fourteen days to change your mind about something bought online. Because your access starts the moment you pay, you are asked at checkout to agree that delivery begins immediately and that you therefore give up that fourteen-day right. You do not have to agree — but the subscription cannot start unless you do.

None of this affects your legal rights if something is actually wrong: if the service does not work, is not as described, or you were charged without authorisation, contact us and we will put it right, including refunding you where that is the right outcome.

What you may and may not do

Your subscription is for you. Read as much as you like, on as many of your own devices as you like.

Please do not copy, republish, or redistribute the books, or share your access with people who have not paid. We own the rights to everything published here. We may end a subscription without refund if it is being used to redistribute our books.

The writing

The books are fiction, written for adult readers, and contain romantic and sexual themes. Any resemblance to real people is coincidental. Stories are produced with the assistance of artificial intelligence.

Availability

We try to keep the site running at all times but cannot promise it will never be unavailable. If an outage is long enough to matter, tell us and we will sort it out fairly.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you may bring proceedings in your own country.
