What Henry Did Not Do

At the end of it Henry Ashcombe stood up and put his hand out, which nobody in that room expected, least of all Adam Callow, who looked at it for about a second and a half before he took it.

"You will have it in writing," said the Duke of Ashcombe. "By Friday. From Fenwick, properly drawn, and my sister will read it before I sign it, because she reads better than Fenwick does."
