They argued for two days about which one.

Ferrin wanted the third room, because the woman in it had been the youngest when they were taken and had, in his father's account, been the calmest. Maera wanted the seventh, because Aselle's book said she had been a physician of some kind and might be reasoned with. Rhys wanted none of them and said so, four times, and then stopped saying it and started checking the doors of the corridor instead, which was his way of agreeing.
