The interim PET was on the second of June, after two cycles, and the eight days between the scan and the result were the worst eight days of the entire six months.
Nobody tells you about that. Everybody tells you about the chemotherapy and nobody tells you that the treatment is largely boredom and nausea and that the actual terror is administrative: it lives in the gap between a scan and a Thursday afternoon appointment, and there is nothing whatsoever to do in it.
