The first hearing was a two-day application in front of Mr Justice Ferris in July, and Talia Ward lost it.
She did not lose it. That is the technical position and she made herself say it out loud several times afterwards: the application was not decided that week and no order went against her. What happened was worse than losing, which is that for two entire days she stood up in a courtroom in front of a judge and had absolutely no idea whether anything she said was landing.
